One Maryland, One Book Project
Chesapeake College is participating in this state-wide project with most of the activities taking place in October 2009. The Maryland Humanities Council has chosen James McBride's novel, Song Yet Sung, as the selection for this year. Here is a listing of activities taking place here on campus, regionally and state-wide. Please check back often for an updated list of activities.
Chesapeake College Activities
Many classes on campus will be reading Song Yet Sung and instructors have planned classroom assignments based on the reading.
The library will host a book discussion for members of the Institute of Adult Learning on Monday, October 19. All IAL members are invited to attend.
There will be a campus-wide, community-wide book discussion on Monday, October 26, at 11:30 a.m. in HEC 110. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in the discussion.
