The Certificate program in Surgical Technology is designed to prepare students to become integral members of the surgical team. As members of the surgical team, they will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel delivering quality patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery. Students who successfully complete this program will be eligible to sit for the national certification exam offered by the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
