PURPOSE:
The Associate of Applied Science degree program in Accounting was designed for students seeking employment at the entry-level in industry, government, and small public accounting firms. Graduates will be capable of working as Junior Accountants and Assistant Auditors. Emphasis is placed on accounting knowledge and skills as well as general knowledge of the workplace.

OCCUPATIONAL GOALS:
Accounting Technician, Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Accounting Paraprofessional, Payroll Clerk, General Ledger Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, and Accounts Payable Clerk.

PROGRAM:
Students should consult with an academic advisor in planning an appropriate program.

NOTE:
his program is NOT designed as a transfer program to a senior institution. If a student wishes to transfer to another institution and major in accounting, the student should consult with an academic advisor at his/her earliest convenience.
