PURPOSE:
The Programming program was designed to give students the basic programming skills needed for employment as entry-level programmers.

OCCUPATIONAL GOALS:
Programmer Trainee, Programmer, Programmer/Analyst.

PROGRAM:
The program prepares students for the field of computer programming. Business, technical writing, and algorithm design courses lay the foundation for studying programming. The program will provide the student with the essentials of systems analysis; algorithm development skills; database and programming concepts; and skills for designing, implementing, and testing computer programs using severaldifferent programming languages, including C++ and Visual Basic. Students should consult with an academic advisor in planning an appropriate program.
