10th Grade

  • Research and job shadow career fields
  • Research scholarship opportunities
  • Compare colleges
  • Take practice tests (such as the PSAT)
  • Find out about Dual Enrollment at Chesapeake

11th Grade

  • Attend college fairs and workshops
  • Schedule dates for SAT and/or ACT tests
  • Schedule college visits
  • Request scholarship applications
  • Consider taking Dual Enrollment courses at Chesapeake (and earn college and high school credit at the same time)

12th Grade

  • Create a calendar of deadlines
  • Apply to colleges and universities
  • Apply for scholarships
  • Complete the FAFSA
  • Schedule campus tours
  • Consider taking Dual Enrollment courses at Chesapeake (and earn college and high school credit at the same time)
  • If planning to attend Chesapeake College after high school graduation, apply and register for summer and fall courses prior to graduation
