NORTH EAST – Ashley Loper scored a game-high 32 points Friday as the Seahawks staged a second-half rally to beat Chesapeake College’s women’s basketball team, 56-47.

Chesapeake, which trailed by a point at halftime, led by three with 14 minutes to play. Loper, however, proved impossible to contain.

"She (Loper) was scoring on layups and free throws – she was beating us down the court," said Chesapeake head coach Lowell Shaw.

FREDERICK – Sherrie Thomas scored 19 points and Chanae DeShields added 11 for the Skipjacks, but they had very little offensive support in last Saturday’s loss to the Cougars.

Deniese Campbell scored 14 points to pace Frederick.
