Jones, Carr, Wooten net double-doubles in victory
Skipjacks move back over .500 in league (5-4) while notching eighth win
WYE MILLS – Ashleigh Jones (15 points, 12 rebounds), Jen Carr (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Becca Wooten (12 points, 10 rebounds) each had double-doubles Monday afternoon as Chesapeake College ran past Garrett College, 57-28, in women’s basketball.
Ashley Molock added seven points and seven rebounds for the Skipjacks.
"We played a pretty good game," said Chesapeake head coach Damon Nichols. "Becca Wooten played very well – once we started getting the ball inside, she started getting us some points. She also played well defensively (team-high five blocked shots)."
Chesapeake improved to 5-4 in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference and 8-10 overall with the victory.
