Garrett snaps ’Jacks three-game winning streak
Lakers bust loose for 63 second-half points to rally for wild win
McHENRY Rocky Harris scored 21 points to lead five Skipjacks into double figures, but the host Lakers rallied from a six-point halftime deficit Tuesday night to snap Chesapeake’s three-game men’s basketball winning streak, 105-99 .
"With Thanksgiving coming up, we seemed to be in a giving mood," Chesapeake head coach Joel Dearring said after his team gave up 63 second-half points.
Delfawn Worrells (17 points, 10 rebounds), Quentin Duncan (16 points), Sam Sanders (15 points), and Chad Church (10 points) each reached double figures for the Skipjacks (4-2 overall, 1-1 Maryland JuCo).
Antonio Butler scored a game-high 31 points to pace Garrett (3-3, 1-1).
The Skipjacks are off until next Wednesday when they host Allegany College of Maryland (1-3, 1-0) in a 7 p.m. game.
