Medicine Aide for Long-Term Care Facilities
Students applying for this program must currently be employed in a long-term healthcare facility recognized by the State of Maryland, and must have a MINIMUM of 12 months full-time work experience as a GNA. Students must be currently licensed as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant and be recommended for the CMA training Program by the Director of Nursing of the licensed nursing home of employment.
Registration forms will be mailed once the completed application and the required documents are received. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. No registrations will be processed without the application form and all required documentation.
This course complies with Maryland's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene guidelines and prepares students to perform in long-term healthcare facilities as certified medicine aides.
