Is Online Learning for Me?
Certain skills and attributes contribute to success in online courses. The Smarter Measures quiz (formerly known as the READI test) uses a sequence of activities to measure these skills. It tells a user whether he or she is a good candidate to take an online course. The Smarter Measures quiz produces an immediate score and gives personalized feedback on:
- Individual attributes and skills, such as self-motivation, self-discipline, persistence, and time-management
- Reading speed and comprehension
- Technical competency
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Preferred learning styles
The quiz takes about 20-25 minutes. Chesapeake College receives summaries of results.
Prospective and current students may take the quiz by logging in at: http://chesapeake.readi.info.
Students should enter

password: student
Once logged in, the system will ask for a name and email address. Results are sent to the email provided by the student.
