Office of Multicultural Affairs
UHURU (means "freedom" in Swahili) was organized in 1982 to better serve the needs of Chesapeake College minority students and establish closer ties with the minority communities of Chesapeake's five supporting counties. UHURU sponsors and co-sponsors many activities and events such as trips and other campus events to help celebrate the diversification at Chesapeake College. Membership into this organization is open all year long.
Future possibilities are endless in UHURU
