| Description | The Events Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, supporting and facilitating events on the Wye Mills campus as assigned and described below. The Events Coordinator serves as a representative of the college to the public, delivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Responsible for coordination of event scheduling, database input, and facilitating events for the Todd Performing Arts Center, Economic Development Center, The Cadby Studio Theatre (H-117), some Caroline Center events, The Eastern Shore Higher Education Center, and other facilities on the Wye Mills campus as required. Serves as first point of contact for reserving and event planning for space in facilities described above. Supervises setup technician(s) to assure details pertaining to room set requirements of clients are met. Duties are varied and will include assorted event coordination tasks after event is scheduled and contracted that may include: coordinating and assisting in furniture placement, meeting audio-visual requests, restorating space to normal appearance following event, overseeing room maintenance and cleanup, and coordinating food and beverage for event with appropriate ancillary services, coordinating with other campus service providers such as IT, Facilities, and Athletics as required. Assists in negotiating the terms of the contract agreements and rentals. Writes agreements/contracts, manages setups, and coordinates delivery of event services and invoicing of clients as appropriate. This position involves working evenings and weekends per event loads and scheduling. Position reports to Executive Director Performing Arts Center and Events. | Description | Chesapeake College is seeking a guest director for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014. Auditions would begin in September and January, respectively, with staging in mid-November and April. Rehearsals are typically scheduled in the evenings, though some weekend rehearsals may be required as production dates grow close. Productions may be staged in either the 100 seat Cadby Theatre, or the 900 seat Todd Performing Arts Center theatre.
