Bob has had four careers that he can remember. He began as a sociologist, teaching and doing research for several years. He returned to sociology a few years ago, delighting and boring students with his views on current social issues. In career number two, Bob served in various human resources capacities for two Fortune 50 companies. He likes to believe that his departure was the cause of one of those companies subsequently falling several steps in the Fortune ranking. Career number three, bicycling and pedestrian advocate, began a dozen years ago with Bob serving in non-profit organizations at the national and state levels. Career number four began with a long-term interest in theater. Bob has performed numerous parts in various productions of professional and community groups, and directed several more. He currently serves as President of the Hugh Gregory Gallagher Theatre, performing monologues on the lives of Franklin Roosevelt – clearly one of the towering figures of the 20th century, and Hugh Gallagher -- godfather of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
