This is my 6th year in the English Department at Chesapeake College. Before starting my job here, I studied overseas in England and Scotland for five years, earning my Master's Degree in English/Women's Studies from the University of Oxford and my Ph.D. in Literary/Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex. My doctoral thesis, which is on the representation of conjoined twins in contemporary literature and culture, has led me to discover other areas of interest such as gender & sexuality, disability studies, representation, documentary & film. I will likely be starting a second Master's degree in Bioethics NEXT FALL. I'm nuts, I know.

In my spare time, I like to travel, and I usually live overseas during the summers. This summer, I spent a couple of weeks in England, and then I moved to Poland for the rest. It was BEAUTIFUL!  Next summer, I will likely live in Salzburg, Vienna. I also LOVE playing online, and I am addicted to Pinterest. You can find me on Twitter if you're interested in my academic work (medical humanities, sexuality and gender, conjoined twins, literature...to name a few). More importantly than anything you've read so far, I am addicted to 'grande soy OPRAH chai lattes' from Starbucks.
