Beginning this fall semester the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) will be offering courses towards a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center, located on the Chesapeake College Wye Mills Campus. Additional degrees are being considered for the future.

A representative from UMUC will be on campus in the Caroline Student Center throughout the Fall Semester. Please stop by to find out more about these degree options, scholarships and the application fee waiver. The Representative will be in Caroline Student Center on:

The Eastern Shore Higher Education Center, located on the Chesapeake College Wye Mills Campus, offers upper division courses towards bachelor’s, and post-graduate degrees. The mission of the Center is to promote higher education and economic development in the region by offering a range of postsecondary programs and services in this state-of-the-art facility. Registration is conducted by each credit granting institution. Please contact Salisbury University, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), Villa Julie College, University Maryland University College (UMUC), or the Regional Training Center to complete the application and registration process. Students must have an Associate of Arts degree and/or meet program entrance requirements in order to qualify for bachelor’s degree programs. There must be sufficient enrollment in each class in order for the institution to offer the courses listed.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)

  • Bachelor's & Master's courses in Career & Technology Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (For students with AA degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, or Liberal Arts or an AAS degree in Business Management)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice

  • Master's courses in Education with a concentration in Instruction

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing (This program is taught on site at the Memorial Hospital in Easton)

The Eastern Shore Higher Education Center is also available as a professional development center for local education, business and government agencies. The Center is the ideal location for regional meetings, complete with free parking and on-site catering services. Four classrooms on the first floor are available for small meetings and seminars. A computer lab accommodates technology training needs for up to 20 participants. A large amphitheatre is available and can be set up in theatre-style or workshop-style seating.
