In this assignment, you will build on your work you have accomplished in regards to your research paper. Fundamentally, this essay is to be a 2-3 page essay articulating your argument for the topic you have chosen for the research paper. Since you have already written a brief description of the topic in the Part I of this process, and just recently wrote your thesis statement for the paper, you should be in a good position to articulate your argument in a 2-3 page essay. The significant aspect of this essay within the context of your research project is that you will construct your argument without use of the research. This essay should read as the distilled essence of your research project, your argument in support of your thesis, in your own words and in your own ideas. Theoretically, it would be to this, your own essential argument, that you will later include research material to support and to illustrate your own argument in support of your thesis. In short, you are, in this essay, persuading the reader of the strength of your own thesis statement by assembling your argument in support of the thesis.
