What's a periodical?

 

Sometimes, research projects call for very current or more specific sources of information. This type of information can be found in periodicals. A periodical is a serial publication that appears at regular intervals. Periodical is a broad term that usually includes journals, magazines, newspapers, bulletins, annuals, yearbooks, proceedings and serials.
