Obtaining Materials
from the LRC when you are a
Distance Learning Student
| There are numerous ways to receive
materials from the LRC depending upon the type of
materials you need. The following information
should help you decide what the best method is for
you. Please let the LRC know when ordering
materials which method you prefer. |

Books - You may obtain books from
the LRC or from other libraries through the LRC (Inter-Library Loan).
To find out what is owned by the LRC, do a search on
ChesCat,
our online catalog. Once you have gathered a
list of the books you would like, you may email the
list to the LRC
or call the Circulation Desk at 410-827-5861.
Once the librarian locates your books, you can pick
them up at one of the following locations:
- Your
Public Library
- Cambridge
Multiservice Center
- Easton
Memorial Hospital Library
You
will need to let the LRC know in your email where
you would like the books delivered. If you
would like to pick up the books at your local
library, please specify one of the following
branches:
- Easton
Free Library
- St.
Michaels Library
- Kent
Island Branch of Queen Anne's Public Library
- Centreville
Branch of Queen Anne's Public Library
- Kent
County Public Library
- Dorchester
Public Library
- Denton
Library
- Federalsburg
Library
- Greensboro
Library
You
will receive a phone call or e-mail from the LRC
when the materials are ready to be shipped.
If
you are unable to pick up your books at any of the
above mentioned locations, please call the LRC at
410-827-5861 to discuss other options. |

Periodical Articles - You may
have periodical articles sent to you one of the
following ways:
- Email
(if you have email but not Internet access, we
can email articles from our online databases)
- U.S.
Mail (under 20 pages)
- FAX
(under 10 pages)
All
articles under 20 pages will be sent via U.S. Mail
unless you specify. Please include your
address for quicker delivery.
All
articles over 20 pages, or multiple articles
totaling more than 20 pages, will be handled the
same as books. |

transparencies, or equipment. |
