How do I… Find Library Materials

Find Articles · Books · E-books · Images · Movies · Music · Websites

Articles

Use Electronic Databases to search for magazine, journal and newspaper articles. Some databases contain only periodicals, like Academic Search Premier, a multidisciplinary database with thousands of periodical titles, both current and back issues. You can search them all at once, or search within a specific title or issue. Some databases contain periodicals on just one subject, like Proquest Criminal Justice Journals. Some databases contain periodicals along with e-books and websites, like Literary Reference Center.

Most databases allow you to limit your search to full text, so that you retrieve the entire article as it appeared in print.

Using databases off campus requires user names and passwords, available at the library, the Cambridge MultiService Center, the Allied Health Center, and in WebCT.
