GENERAL LIBRARY INFORMATION

The Chesapeake College Library / Learning Resource Center is located in Wye Mills on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  The first LRC opened in 1965 on the first floor of the Chesapeake College Administration Building.  In the Fall of 2002, construction was completed on our new Learning Resource Center which contains the Library and other Academic Support Services.

The present LRC contains approximately 46,000 books, 1,400 videos, and over 200 periodical subscriptions.

Anyone from the Upper Shore area may use the LRC and may borrow books.  Patrons must fill out an application and be entered into the LRC's database in order to check out items. 

Children under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.  Young children are not permitted on the upper level.

Borrowed materials are due back to the LRC two weeks from the date they are first checked out but may be renewed at any time in person or over the phone.  Renewals during final exam week must take place in person with the materials in hand.  Videos may be checked out unless they are placed on reserve by an instructor.
