MyCampus - Chesapeake's Portal

Access to Student Email, Classes and Resources

You'll use the portal to access WebAdvisor/CRAB, Skipjack email, and Canvas.

Using MyCampus and WebAdvisor/CRAB (Click to show/hide)

MyCampus - Our Portal

  • Login Name: Your first name and last name, no spaces, all lower case. Unsure of your username? Check your username

  • Password: First initial of first name (capitalized), first initial of last name (capitalized), last four of your SSN, and cc. For example, if your name was John Smith, and your last four were 3456, your MyCampus password would be JS3456cc.

    When you sign in to the portal the first time, you will be prompted to answer three security questions that will be used when you need to reset your password or have forgotten your password. Your password must be at least 8 characters in length, contain an uppercase character (A - Z) and a lowercase character (a - z) and contain at least one number (0 - 9) or a special character (!, $, #, or %).

    Once the questions have been answered, your can reset your password. To reset your password, enter your new password in the New Password field. Re-enter the new password in the Verify New Password field. Click OK and your portal homepage should be displayed.

WebAdvisor/CRAB - Our Student Information System

The only way to get to WebAdvisor/CRAB is through the portal.

WebAdvisor/CRAB is where you get registration information, pay for classes, finalize financial aid, and check official grades.

When using WebAdvisor/CRAB from the MyCampus portal for the first time you'll be prompted for your username and password.

  • Login Name: Your first name and last name, no spaces, all lower case. Unsure of your username? Check your username

  • Password: First initial of first name (capitalized), first initial of last name (capitalized), last four of your SSN, and cc. For example, if your name was John Smith, and your last four were 3456, your password would be JS3456cc.

Using Canvas (Click to show/hide)

Canvas - Your Course Content

When using Canvas from the MyCampus portal for the first time you'll be prompted for your Canvas username and password.

  • Login Name: Your first name and last name, no spaces, all lower case. Unsure of your username? Check your username

  • Password:

    • Current users of Canvas - passwords have not changed.
    • New users of Canvas
      • If you registered for classes BEFORE June 12, 2013 your initial password is made up of the first 3 of your lastname and the last 4 of your SSN.
      • If you registered for classes on or after June 12, 2013, first initial of first name (capitalized), first initial of last name (capitalized), last four of your SSN, and cc.

You can learn to use Canvas, our new course system, before you sign up for classes. Take the student orientation as a guest, no account required.

Using Skipjack Mail (Click to show/hide)

Skipjack Mail: Your Chesapeake College Email Account

You can get to Skipjack mail through the portal - no extra login needed.

If you are on a public computer, please be sure to sign out when you are finished with your Skipjack mail.
