Chesapeake women to host national qualifier

Chesapeake College has been selected to host next year’s Region XX tournament. Chesapeake Athletics Director Frank Szymanski said the college had multiple reasons for seeking to host the regional in the $36 million Health Professions and Athletics Center that will open in August.

Marking a half-century of providing comprehensive education and workforce training opportunities to the citizens of the five-county upper and mid Eastern Shore, Chesapeake College has announced a multi-year 50th anniversary celebration beginning in August 2015.

Chesapeake nursing professor selected for international training program

Assistant Professor of Nursing Crystel L. Farina, MSN, RN, CNE; was one of only 20 educators selected for the year-long Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators, the National League for Nursing’s faculty leadership development initiative, designed for those interested in assuming a leadership role in the research or administration of simulation programs in nursing education.

Building Break

A group of Chesapeake College students headed west for Spring Break March 16- 22. Rather than flock to a beach with their contemporaries, these students used their time off to work on a Habitat for Humanity project in Kentucky.
