Chesapeake Continues Registration for Summer
Wednesday, June 08, 2005
WYE MILLS Chesapeake College is currently registering students for Summer Session 2005 at the Wye Mills Campus and the Cambridge Center. Classes will begin on Monday, June 13.
Additional class spaces have been opened, so students who could not be accommodated earlier in the registration period are urged to try again, according to Claudia Jewell, Chesapeake's registrar.
"We now have seats available in classes that had been full," Jewell said. "These additional spaces have allowed us to open registration for some of our most popular classes."
Classes are scheduled in the morning, afternoon and evening during the summer session. Current Chesapeake students, new students who want to get a jump on the fall semester, and students attending other institutions during the regular academic year may wish to take summer classes at Chesapeake.
Chesapeake expanded the selection of Internet-based courses this academic year. Students may take these courses from their home or office computers. Internet-based courses include Introduction to Literature, Algebra, Anthropology, Abnormal Psychology, and Sociology.
Students may register at the Wye Mills Campus Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Cambridge Center will be open for registration Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The summer and fall schedules may be viewed online at www.chesapeake.edu. Current students who meet certain eligibility requirements may register online via the CRAB (Chesapeake Registration And Beyond) system on the college's Web site.
