WYE MILLS – A slew of actors, dancers and singers put a boot-stompin´ twist on traditional holiday entertainment with "Country Sleigh Ride through the Holidays" on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 27 in the Todd Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College.

The story opens with Milly sitting behind her house calling the neighboring kids up from the yard and asking them if they are ready for the holidays. She begins to tell them of her holidays as a young lady, and what fun she used to have.

Suddenly, the entire cast bursts into the theatre singing "Over the River and Through the Woods" to begin the fun. Milly continues as the mistress of ceremonies, with a twist. She knows a few country stars and might get them to appear later in the show. As the show progresses, Milly gets her boss Gladys into the action.

Milly works for Gladys a few days a week. Gladys is stressed out over cleaning silver, polishing furniture, and ordering trees. She is a nervous wreck about preparing for the holiday season. But as time goes on, Gladys eventually gets into the holiday spirit.

Performers from throughout Maryland, include Ms. Jackie Kinney and Ms. Sheila Wainwright from Easton, Ms. Katie Harrington from Stevensville, Caitlen Reading from Galena, The Dean Family singers from Centerville, along with other local singers and dancers from Triple Threat Theatre Studio in Stevensville. In addition guest performers from Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA and New York City, come together for this second "Sleigh Ride" that is becoming an annual event.

The Saturday show begins at 7 p.m. and the Sunday show will start at 3 p.m. Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $12 for children. A special holiday brunch will be offered for additional $15 at 1 p.m. before the Sunday matinee. For more information, please call 410-827-5867.
