Posted on Monday, August 21, 2006

WYE MILLS – Chesapeake College, which opens the Fall 2006 semester on August 28th, will be open this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for students who still need to register for fall classes.

Students will be able to take the Academic Skills Assessment (ASA), meet with an advisor, plan a fall schedule, register for classes, and pay their bills during Saturday´s "one-stop" option. Students who need to take the ASA – mainly new students – should arrive by 11 a.m.

"We know some students wait until the last minute to register, so we want to be available for people just getting around to making the decision to take fall classes," said Kathy Petrichenko, the college´s dean for recruitment services.

Day, evening, and Internet offerings still remain open. For more information, contact the college at (410) 822-5400, 758-1537, or 228-4360, extension 250.
