Chesapeake College Library Offers Grant Workshop

WYE MILLS Representatives from area non-profit organizations may attend a proposal writing workshop at the Chesapeake College Learning Resource Center on Thursday, April 19 at 4 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Participants will learn the key components of proposal writing, the process of grant applications and the essentials of budget preparation. The workshop will presenter will be Andrea Snyder of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.
The April workshop is one of several this year hosted by Chesapeake´s library. The LRC last fall was named a Cooperating Collection by the Foundation Center, a national clearinghouse for philanthropic information. Currently, Chesapeake is the only designated Cooperating Collection on the Eastern Shore. The Foundation Center, established in 1956, is supported by more than 600 foundations. The Center maintains a comprehensive database on U.S. grants, and offer training programs to advance philanthropy.
