Maryland, Delaware Colleges Visit for Transfer Day
Wednesday, October 03, 2007
WYE MILLS Representatives from more than 20 four-year colleges will visit Chesapeake College on Monday, Oct. 22 for Transfer Day, which links Chesapeake students with potential transfer institutions.
The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center. Organizers expect many students to participate in the event designed to ease the transfer of Chesapeake College students to baccalaureate degree programs.
"For students in our transfer programs, this event is convenient. They can meet with representatives from many of the colleges they are interested in and to find out about admission requirements and transferring credits," said Chesapeake Counselor Jim Davidson. "Our goal is to make the transfer process as convenient and hassle free as possible. A personal visit with a representative from the intended transfer institution goes a long way toward accomplishing that goal."
The event is also an excellent outreach opportunity for recruiters from four-year colleges and universities.
Schools expected to attend the event this year include Salisbury University, Morgan State University, Villa Julie College, Towson University, Wesley College, Wilmington College and the University of Maryland.
