Chesapeake College releases Winterim ’05 schedule
Monday, October 18, 2004
Chesapeake College officials expect to attract both their own and visiting students with their Winterim 2005 semester, which will take place next January.
"The college has already received numerous inquiries about Winterim both from our own students and from students who will be home on semester break from other colleges," said Dr. Stuart M. Bounds, Chesapeake College’s president. "We’ve put together a Winterim schedule that includes a cross-section of our General Education courses so that the schedule can meet the greatest need."
Chesapeake will be using its distance-learning capability to make courses available at both its Wye Mills and Cambridge campuses, and has also scheduled a pair of Internet offerings.
English 102 (Introduction to Literature) will be offered 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and History 102 (U.S. History II) will be offered 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with both courses available at both Wye Mills and the Chesapeake College Cambridge Center. Courses meet Monday through Friday during the accelerated Winterim session, which starts January 4 and ends January 24.
Communications 150 (Fundamentals of Oral Communications) and Psychology 150 (General Psychology) are both being offered as Internet courses.
Chesapeake has already opened registration for the Winterim, both in person and online for those students who are eligible for online registration. The complete Winterim schedule has been posted online at www.chesapeake.edu.
