Chesapeake College is Local Site for White House Community College Summit

WYE MILLS -- Chesapeake College will host a live broadcast of the White House Community College Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at noon in the Cadby Theatre in the Kent Humanities Building. This event is free and open to the public.

The summit, the first ever on community colleges, will be broadcast live from the White House to encourage discussions about the role of community colleges in 21st century America. The summit will be led by Dr. Jill Biden, an instructor at Northern Virginia Community College and the wife of Vice President Joseph Biden.

Chesapeake College has signed on to air the summit and is opening the event to the community. The summit broadcast will be followed by a local discussion.
