Cold-shooting Skipjacks fall to Anne Arundel
Waters’ game-high 24 points not enough to prevent first league loss
Wednesday, December 01, 2010
ARNOLD Trey Quinn and Eddie Jenkins each scored 19 points Monday night as Anne Arundel Community College’s men’s basketball team earned its first league win and Chesapeake College suffered its first league loss.
Patrick Grandy (11 points) joined Quinn and Jenkins in double figures for the Pioneers (4-2 overall, 1-2 Maryland JuCo).
Ryan Waters scored a game-high 24 points and Dasheek Bannister added 16 to pace Chesapeake, but the Skipjacks (3-5, 2-1) hurt themselves with a cold-shooting night from both the field and the foul line. Chesapeake shot just 39 percent from the field (26-for-66) and 59 percent from the line (17-for-29).
The Skipjacks were scheduled to play at Baltimore City Community College Wednesday night.
