For most people, work will be a primary life activity. I realize that the ability to translate the college experience into meaningful and realistic career goals impacts students' motivation.
Research suggests that the average person changes careers five to seven times during their working life. The ability to successfully enter and maintain work depends on knowing what you can do with the training and skills you have. Where an individual works and what occupations they pursue are often dependent on their career planning skills. Our primary purpose is to educate and assist students in effectively developing, evaluating and implementing career and educational plans. Career planning competence is the ability to analyze knowledge of self-education, work, make decisions, set goals, and implement plans.
