Chesapeake College
Early Childhood Development Center

Introduction
The purpose of the CCECDC is to serve those parents of children 3 through 7 years of age who are students, staff and faculty at the college, as well as parents throughout the community. The center is licensed by the Office of Child Care through the Maryland State Department of Education.

The Director and staff work closely together to ensure the implementation of a program which provides a stimulating curriculum in a warm, nurturing and secure learning environment. Classroom curriculum consists of a wide variety of activities and equipment implemented with the purpose of promoting the development of basic social, emotional, creative, physical and cognitive skills in young children.

Hours Of Operation
Throughout the academic year the center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

During the summer months (in coordination with the QA County school schedule) the center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Tuition
Tuition fees are based on the child's schedule of attendance. Parents have the option of enrolling their child on either a full-time or part-time basis, according to their course or employment schedule.

Quite often as the semester progresses and especially prior to exam week, many students choose to spend additional time on campus in order to utilize student services such as the Writing Center and the Learning Resource Center. At your request, part-time childcare hours can be extended to accommodate those needs.
