Students, if you want to get information on what the SGA is up to, meeting minutes and Agendas, Events, and Photos. The SGA 2013 and 2014 meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 2:30 - 3:30 pm in Caroline 216.

Now, more than ever, it's important to have as many experiences as possible to make your mark in today's work force. Besides possessing work skills in your area of study, employers want to see strong communication skills, the ability to work cooperatively in teams, leadership, initiative, and what has been termed "emotional intelligence." Involvement in Student Government offers valuable experience in all of these areas.

Because we are a relatively small school, the Student Government experience at Chesapeake is multidimensional. Student Government is here to voice your concerns. Besides serving on many College and statewide committees, officers represent the student body to College policy makers; the President attends monthly Board of Trustee meetings and the Vice President represents students to the College Council at bi-monthly meetings. In their other role, Student Government also assists the Activities Director in planning and providing programs and activities.

So make it a point to get to know your student officers. Come to Student Government meetings as often as you can. Meetings are Wednesdays at 2:30 pm, Caroline 216. Think about serving on Student Government.
