F.O.C.U.S. Group (First-Generation students' Opportunity for Career and Ultimate Success)
F.O.C.U.S. Group (First-Generation students? Opportunity for Career and Ultimate Success) is designed for first-time male students who are the first in their immediate family to attend a college or university and are enrolled in a career program. The program provides these students with intense exposure to academic support and career exploration activities during the first year in college.
Program activities will include:
- Academic planning
- Weekly meetings (Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m.)
- Career exploration activities (interest assessments, resume writing, interview skills workshops)
- Leadership skills exercises
- Awards (Book scholarships)
Requirements:
- First-time student
- Enrolled in at least 10 hours
- Career program major
