Volunteers needed:

 

AARP Maryland

is searching for a State President. This is the top state level, key leadership volunteer position. In partnership with the State Director and in collaboration with other appropriate volunteers and staff, the State President positions AARP in the state to achieve the AARP vision, mission, and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities of the State President include, but are not limited to; serving as the principal AARP volunteer spokesperson in the state and communicating AARP messages statewide. In partnership with the State Director and the Executive Council, develop the framework for state strategic planning and coordination of AARP activities.

The State President develops a strong working knowledge of the state demographics, organizational structures, political environment and key players. The State President must be committed to the goals and priorities of AARP.  Leadership and team building skills; strong interpersonal skills; and excellent oral and written communication skills also desirable candidate qualifications.

Looking for volunteers to help out in the newly opened ReStore (8648 Commerce Drive, Easton).  Two shifts available on Wed., Thurs, Fri & Sat when the store is open for business & two shifts on Tuesday when the store is closed (stocking shelves, etc.)
