Things to think about when looking for volunteer opportunities
- Geography and location that you prefer
- Your interests -- for example, do you like animals, working with kids, seniors?
- Your skills -- for example, are you a good typist, organizer, talker?
- Time availability -- for example, if you are a student, then you are only available after 3PM on weekdays.
- In a group –- Are you interested in organizing a group of your friends to volunteer?
- One time or ongoing – Do you want to volunteer every week, once a month or one time?
- Are there other criteria such as service learning hours or court-ordered community service?
