Chesapeake College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Several career programs are also accredited by professional organizations.

Institutional Research
The Institutional Research office compiles and reports data in various forms for the college to the Federal Government, State of Maryland, and to external and internal stakeholders.

Institutional assessment process at Chesapeake College—which is informed by the integrated outcomes of academic program and administrative/co-curricular assessment—finds meaning within the institution’s continuous improvement agenda/cycle.
Assessment is the systematic collection of information about student learning, using the time, knowledge, expertise, and resources available, in order to inform decisions that affect student learning.
Chesapeake College believes that student success is an integrated, multidimensional outcome that results from the conscientious application of both academic program and administrative/co-curricular assessment data, within the framework of the institution’s institutional assessment process. Administrative/co-curricular assessment is significant to Chesapeake’s continuous improvement agenda.
