Alum Jacob Wheatley is combining his preparation at Chesapeake with his love of video games to build a career in the gaming industry. While a student at Chesapeake, Jacob was active in the Theatre Program. He later transferred to Full Sail University in Florida for a bachelor's degree in game design.
Now, this St. Michaels native is living in Seattle and working for Nintendo, where he designs and troubleshoots new products.
The alum credits Chesapeake classes in theatre and communications with giving him learning opportunities and critical skills.
"These classes have a way of bringing out every aspect of a person and letting them open up and I really owe a lot to the fact that I am the person I am today because of the friends I made in class and the teachers who taught me many valuable life lessons," Wheatley said.
