MVA DRIVER EDUCATION
This course is designed to provide instruction preparing new drivers to qualify to test for a Maryland Provisional Driver's License. Topics to be covered include: Maryland's Graduated Licensing System; Signs, Signals and Pavement Markings; Vehicle Pre-Entry Checks and Safety Equipment; Basic vehicle maneuvering techniques; Neighborhood Driving, Urban, Suburban and Rural Driving; Highway Situations; Decision-Making and factors which affect driving. Students are required to attend ALL 30 hours, submit all MVA-required paperwork and pass the in-class final exam with an 80% or above. This course is taught by MVA-Certified, Licensed instructors and meets MVA requirements.
Classroom Fee: $205
Classes are offered in partnership with TRAX Advantage Driving Academy. In addition to classroom instruction and practice hours, students are required to successfully complete 6 hours of Behind the Wheel instruction with a Licensed, MVA-Certified Instructor. Students must register for instructor drives directly with TRAX Advantage Driving Academy, for an additional fee, to be eligible to take the Maryland Provisional skills test.
