Our orientation sessions, available both in-person and online, are designed to help you transition smoothly into college life, connect with faculty and staff, and discover all the resources and opportunities that await you as a Skipjack.
During New Student Orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Meet college faculty and staff who will guide you through your academic journey.
- Buy your textbooks and get prepared for classes.
- Sign up for services, resources, support programs, and activities.
- Join a student organization that matches your interests.
- Connect with fellow new Skipjacks and start building your college community.
- Enjoy delicious food, fun activities, and exciting giveaways!

No problem! Our online NSO is available year-round and can be accessed anytime. Simply visit Chesapeake College’s Online NSO on Canvas from your PC or mobile device. This 45-minute interactive session provides an in-depth overview of the College’s services, resources, support systems, and other opportunities. You can start, stop, and resume the orientation at your convenience.
