“Caregiving Essentials” is a workshop about caregiving for individuals with Serious Mental Illness/Substance Abuse Disorder.

Join us and learn how to:

  • Identify key components of a person-centered and collaborative approach when working with individuals with SMI/SAD.
  • Apply core principles of Motivational Interviewing to address ambivalence, enhance motivation, and build rapport.
  • Develop practical strategies to assess and support basic needs stabilization and community integration for individuals with complex behavioral health conditions.

The Opioid Response Network (ORN) in SAMHSA Region 3, in partnership with Chesapeake College, is hosting this event.
