Join us for an American Premiere by Argentine-American composer, Lalo Schifrin! He is known for his legendary film scores, such as Mission Impossible and Bullitt, is also a wonderful concert music composer. His mandolin concerto has been commissioned by Europe’s foremost mandolinist, Vincent Beer-Demander, whose enthralling stage presence and virtuosity will certainly transport you. As a companion piece, we will play Nicolas Mazmanian’s Mission Impossible Variations, and we will close the concert with Beethoven’s Olympian Symphony No. 7, which Wagner called “the apotheosis of dance”.
