Join a free info session to find out how you can learn welding at the Cambridge Center Mobile Welding Training Lab.
We encourage Dorchester County residents to attend and see if the program is right for you! Minimum age: 18 years old.
Class runs September 21-October 16.
Last day to register for class is September 8.
Student Story
Jeremy Jewell, 36, of Cambridge, recently completed a welding course in Chesapeake’s Mobile Welding Lab while it was parked in the Cambridge Center parking lot. In addition to completing the class, he also passed the TIG welding certification exam and is now pursuing a job in the field.
“Welding always seemed interesting to me, but I had no experience. I was ready to learn something new and this class was so convenient. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we jumped into using the equipment. That was great because I’m a hands-on learner, so I felt like we were learning new skills in every class. With the skills I learned and the certification, I’m ready to get into the field,” Jewell said. “There are so many options for welders that I’m optimistic I can start a new career soon.”
