Financial aid recipients with sufficient aid who have registered and accepted their awards via self-service will have their course registration secured. Disbursements take place later in the semester.

Financing your education is an important life decision for you and your family. The Financial Aid Office at Chesapeake College can help you find the resources you need to afford your college education.

Investing in a college education is a major financial decision that may require you to look beyond your own resources for assistance. Chesapeake College students receive funds for college in the form of grants, work-study and scholarships. Awards are based on financial need and/or academic ability.

At the Financial Aid Office, we are committed to providing you with excellent customer service and information when you need it. We are sensitive to your financial concerns. We are pleased to act as your financial aid resource and information center, and look forward to helping you achieve your educational goals.

Notices

  • All credit, degree-seeking, Chesapeake College students are encouraged to apply for Federal Grant funding by completing the FAFSA each year. If you are interested in attending Chesapeake College for Fall 2023/Spring 2024, you will need to complete the 2023/2024 FAFSA application at www.studentaid.gov. When doing so, please make sure Chesapeake College’s school code, 004650, is on your FAFSA in order for us to receive a copy of the application. Once it is processed, we will receive a copy of it electronically in three to five business days.
  • In order to be considered for Maryland State Scholarships, the FAFSA must be completed by March 1st each year.
  • Our Institutional Scholarship Application is for credit or degree-seeking students to apply for ALL of our Institutional Scholarships that we offer here at Chesapeake College. If you are a new student or a returning student with at least a 2.5 GPA or higher, submit the application for Spring 2023 or the application for Fall 2023/Spring 2024.
  • If you are a current student, please keep updated on your financial aid account in Financial Aid Self-Service through your MyCampus/CRAB portal. If you are a new student, you will be sent an email notification from our office once we have received and reviewed the FAFSA. Please add finaid@chesapeake.edu to your Email Safe Senders list so you do not miss communication from our office.
