Take the Accuplacer (college placement test)
All students who plan to work toward a degree or certificate or enroll in any credit college course must take the Accuplacer test prior to enrollment. There is no fee to take it the first time. No appointment is necessary. You must bring your Social Security number and a photo ID. Contact the Testing Center at 410-822-5400 ext. 2344 for testing days, times, and procedures.

Seek Academic Advisement
Discuss your test results with an academic advisor, who will assist you in developing an academic plan and selecting courses for the upcoming semester. Call 410-822-5400 ext. 2240 for advisor information.

Register for Classes
Check out the college's academic calendar for registration dates and review course offerings. Work with your academic advisor to register for classes. First-time students must register in person, however some eligible students may register online. For more information, call 410-822-5400 ext. 2240.

Contact the Financial Aid Office
As soon as you register for classes, it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office of your registration. Most financial aid funding is awarded based on the number of credits you are registered for so adjustments may be necessary.

Pay Tuition & Fees by Finalizing Online or In Person
Pay your tuition bill either when you register or by the due date on your bill. Students must finalize their bill with the Business Office each semester. This can be done online (if financial aid is sufficient to cover tuition balance) or in person. A Deferred Payment Plan is available to most students. Participate in New Student Orientation
Prior to each fall and spring semester, a new student orientation session is held to share information about college activities, services, and policies. Call 410-822-5400 ext. 2250 for more information

Purchase Textbooks & Go to Class
Before the semester begins, purchase your textbooks and other needed supplies, check out the location of your courses, and get ready for your first day of class! Stay connected by attending all classes, asking questions, and getting the academic support you need to be successful!
