Helping to save The Bay every day

John Ruth Jr., Chester
Class of 2012

John uses his experiences at Chesapeake College to help preserve the beautiful environment around the beloved Chesapeake Bay.

After earning an associate degree at Chesapeake, John transferred to Salisbury University for a bachelor’s degree in Geosciences.

He started his career with the Maryland Environmental Service and is currently a Water/Wastewater Operator with the Queen Annes County Department of Public Works Sanitary District. He is also a professional photographer and a musician in the area.

Through his work, John is helping to save The Bay every day.
