This course will improve your diagnostic and procedural coding skills and increase your knowledge of clinical documentation, reimbursement in inpatient and outpatient settings, and data quality management. You will also be prepared to sit for the official certification exam to become a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
Facility coding (hospital coding) is one of the best-paying sectors of the coding profession. If you’re already performing some aspect of facility coding, the Advanced Hospital Coding (AHC) course will fill in the gaps, making you a more marketable employee. Please reach out to the WIB to inquire about funding, if necessary, before you start the registration process below.
