GARDENING
This continuing education course is designed to teach beginner to experienced gardeners the underlying concepts of planning and caring for plants in containers of any kind, size, or location. Students will learn methods of optimal environmental conditions, budget considerations, and designing indoor and outdoor gardens.

Our photography classes and metal fabrication classes are designed to guide you through thinking like an artist, problem-solving like a designer, and creating like a craftsman. - Behind the Lens: Mastering Photography Confidently take photos like a pro with a digital camera or cellphone. Learn the basics of camera controls and techniques such as exposure, lighting, composition, and depth of field.
- Photography in Everyday Life Part 2 This is the second of a two part series. Discuss topics about mechanisms, single lens reflex cameras, and advanced editing and exposure techniques.
- Metal Fabrication and Sculpture Learn the process and techniques of metal fabrication as it applies to art and sculpture. Topics covered include: characteristics of metals, safety procedures, and thermal cutting.
- Learn Welding – Building Your Own Firepit Explore the basic operation of plasma cutting, arc welding, metal preparation, hot and cold joinery, and finishing to create basic welding and metalworking projects.
- Steeped in Culture: the Art and History of Tea Explore the rich history, cultural traditions, and timeless elegance of tea.
SCIENCES
- Introductory Astronomy – Star Gazer Boot Camp Designed for novice astronomers who would like to identify objects when they gaze into the night sky. Students will learn the basic terms and concepts of astronomy and a sense of time and motion associated with observed celestial objects.
- Advanced Astronomy This continuing education course builds on the Introduction to Astronomy course, offering a more in-depth exploration of the field. Topics will cover structure and evolution of astronomical systems, as well as the use of star catalogs. Students will also learn to operate optical instruments and specialized mounts to observe the solar system, Milky Way, and other galaxies.
