Advocating for Chesapeake

A group of Chesapeake administrators and student leaders joined community college students from across the state at the 2024 Student Advocacy Day at the Maryland Statehouse in Annapolis. Chesapeake’s representatives met with members of the Eastern Shore Delegation in the Maryland General Assembly to discuss the importance of community college access and funding.

The Chesapeake delegation included: Ian Abrego, Josiah Comfort, Dr. Cliff Coppersmith, Dr. Kamari Collins, Dr. LaSella Hall, Makayla Larson, Cianni Phillips, Cheyenne Roache, Anastasia Sartain, and Mia Seltzer.
