Chesapeake College celebrated the graduates of the Adult Basic Education Program on October 17 in the Todd Performing Arts Center.

Terrell Lanman gave the graduates’ address. Inspired to pursue his education after a meeting with Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, the new graduate urged his classmates to develop personal values along with their goals. Staying true to their values, he said, will help the graduates weather life’s ups and downs.

In his keynote address, Director of TRiO Upward Bound Mark Berry congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to consider their accomplishment just the beginning of their successes.

The Fall 23 ABE graduates are Brenda Ambrocio, Dania Barrios, Jatanna Blazejack, Rosita Bock, Alexis Chavez-Sebastian, Angela Ciprian, Justin Davis, Janet Diaz, Rachel Franks, Logan Insley, Crystal Jones, Terrell Lanman, Jonathan Larmore, Jose Ramirez, Tyneka Sparrow, Ruby Thompson, Jessica Travis, Stephanie Wessel, and Luke Williams.
